THE LONDON WOOL SALES. PRICES FULLY MAINTAINED. -United Press Association—Copyright (Received This Day, 10.35 a.m.) LONDON, January 16. At the wool sales 8605 bales were offered including 3982 New Zealand, and 8152 Australian and New Zealand were sold. Thero was a good selection, which met active competition, the home trade and the Continent being the chief buyers. Prices were fully maintained, but medium greasy merinos were frequently withdrawn. The New Zealand greasy crossbred clip WFL/NZ sold up to 14Jd, with an average of ll^d. The Bradford tops market quotations are: Merinos, 70's 34£d per lb, 64s 32|d, 60's 3Ud; crossbreds, 58 s 2c%<l, 56 f s 20*d, 50's 16d, 46's 14d, 44\13d. The market is very firm, but business is small. Merinos are firm and quotations fully confirmed values at the London sales, with a steady flow of business.
