ALLEGED MONOPOLY.
SALE OF BANANAS. (Per Press Association). OHRISTCHUIIOH, January 15. The dispute over the sale or Samoan bananas in the city is still unsettled. Mr G. S. Radley, of Radley Bros., contractors for the receipt and disti - button of bananas, contends that theie is no monopoly, and fruiterers contend that there is. They say also that they will not buy bananas until the monopoly is broken down. The dispute may reach a climax to-morrow, when quantities of ripened fruit Will be offered at auction. Buyers say they will continue the boycott and refuse to buy as they did this morning when a small quantity was offered. Mr Eadley said to-day that it the fruit was not bought it would rot.
