STRANDED MAHENO.
EXPENDITURE ON SALVAGE. (United Press Association—Copyright.) . BRISBANE, January 15. The Amakse Company, Osaka, Japan, intends to spend about £IO.OOO in the attempt to salvage the steamer Maheno, which is stranded on Eraser Island. The company is confident of success.
