MURDER IN COURT.

ENRAGED COUNSEL SHOOTS OPPONENT.

JUDGE CRAWLS TO SAFETY.

(United Press Association—Copyright.) NEW YORK, January 13.

Infuriated by an adverse ruling from the Bench, John Keogh, a veteran practising attorney, calmly drew a revolver in Court at Chicago to-day and killed a rival attorney, Christojiher Kinney. Koogh then fired three times at the presiding judge, narrowly missing him. At the burst of gunfire the courtroom was thrown into the wiMest confusion. Spectators and't attendants dropped to the floor, while the Judge dropped behind the bench and crawled on his hands and knees to safety ..n his chambers. When arrested, Keogh said he was not sorry for his action, which he hoped would create enough publicity to prove his point, which involved real estate mortgage litigation. "I did it as a soldier, not as a murderer," Keogh added.
