WEDDED IN WRECK
CEREMONY ON THE MAHENO.
CUSTOMS OFFICER ON DUTY. HULL TREMBLES ON WAVES. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 11.35 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. A romantic wedding was celebrated yesterday in the saloon of the steamer Maheno, which was wrecked while being towed to Japan some weeks ago. Miss Beatrice McLean, of Townsvine, and Dudley Ernest Weatherley, Customs officer, on duty at the wreck, were married.
As the deck tilted toward.the sea at an angle of 16£ degrees the clergyman had to lean backwards and the bridal couple and attendants had to lean forward. Throughout the ceremony the ship trembled as the w v aves thudded against her.
