NEW ZEALAND TOURNAMENT. THE RINKS CHAMPIONSHIP. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The rinks championship was continued at the New Zealand bowling championship tournament to-day with the fifth round in the morning and the sixth in the afternoon. Sectional play will end with the eighth round to-mor-row afternoon. The weather this morning was overcast and threatening, and light showers fell early in the day. The greens were not affected, however, and were playing fast and true, and were drawing well. To-day represented the key day for many rinks, a win or a loss in the morning’s round turning the chance to carry on into the post-sectional play. Refreshed by the spell yesterday, the players were back to the best of form.
