BOWLING.
NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. TO-DAY'S PLAY IN RINKS. (Per Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, This Day The third and fourth of the eight sectional games which will comprise preliminary stages of the rinks championship at the New Zealand bowling tournament were played to-day. All 13 greens were in excellent order, and showed little signs of the strain imposed on them by the week's intensive play. The rain which fell at the start of the tournament has been of great assistance in preserving the turf. Players, on the other hand, are beginning to feel the strain of tournament conditions. The New South Wales party especially is finding New Zealand championship play a severe test of stamina.
The weather this morning was pleasant, though overcast.
