KILLED BY LIGHTNING.
ELECTRICAL STORM NEAR SYDNEY. FIREBALL IN A SUBURB. (United Press Association—Copyright.) SYDNEY, January 10. A severe electrical storm struck suburban districts west of Sydney late this afternoon. At Liverpool a fireball suddenly crashed into a block of buildings and passed along a footpath, flinging a bicycle fully 40 feet. It struck another building, and finally splintered a tree. An eye-witness described the fireball as a dazzling sight. Everything it touched was severely damaged. Two persons struck by lightning at Parramatta were killed.

The two men who were killeU by lightning at parramatta during the electrical storm were Zola Sohier, aged 36, and William Nolan, aged 27. The former's clothes were burning fiercely when his workmates arrived, while 'Nolan's clothing was ripped for the full length of his body. Several other men were affected by concussion which followed the lightning.
