FLOODS RECEDING
UPPER REACHES OF THAMES.
CHURCH AT WINDSOR INVADED.
SERVICES IN MISSION CHAPEL
(United Press Association —Copyright.) (Received This Day, 11.5 a.m.) LONDON, Jauaary 5.
There is a good prospect of a relatively dry week-end throughout Britain, which should allow tho floods to subside. Tho waters in the upper reaches of the Thames further receded yesterday, and it is believed that the flooding in the river generally has reached its peak last night and that general abatement may now be looked for.
Below Windsor the floods spread yesterday and tho greater part of the private grounds of Windsor Castle, adjoining the river, were under water last night. St. Peter's Church, in Old Windsor, was flooded, and the services to-morrow will be held in the mission chapel nearby.—British Official Wireless.
