(From Our Own Correspondent.) METHVEN. Christmas Eve passed off quietly in Methven. The Novice Cycle Club held a road race, which attracted a number of spectators, while later in the evening the local Pipe Band played a number of selections. Shopkeepers had a fairly busy time, although the practice of doing the Christmas shopping early relieved the rush usually experienced. All business people report a good turnover and! an improvement on the last few years.
