BLIZZARD IN UNITED STATES. MANY MOTOR) ACCIDENTS. MANY DIE FROM EXPOSURE. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 12.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, December 26. At least 70 persons lost their lives in a bitter blizzard. Most of the fatalities are attributable to automobile accidents caused by blinding snow and icy roads, but many deaths were due directly to exposure to temperatures below zero, which are continuing today throughout the Middle West. Tho cold reached 22 degrees below at Devil’s Lake, North Dakota. Snowdrifts ten feet deep are reported in many districts.
