The Christchurch Woolbrokers’ Association informs growers that wool has already been received in excess of the quota allocated by the New Zealand Wool Committee, and that it is impossible not only to include the additional large quantities of wool daily arriving in store, but also all the wool already received. I Small entries were received for the Methven stock sale held on Thursday. A small yarding of fats were practically only sufficient for local butchers’ requirements. Prices for lambs were well oyer schedule rates. The few pens ot stores sold Pigs again made good prices, and all were sold. Sales were as follow: — Sheep—Eight fat wethers at. 225, 4 fat ewes at 14s, 8 at 14s 6d, 8 wethers •at 21s lOd. 13 do. at 21s 7d, 81 fat lambs at 21s 4d, US' ewes and lambs at 13s Bd, 123 'do. at 13s, 82 merino ewes at 6s.
