Coal resources, however, are ample for most industries until after the New Year. t The Australian Bteam Ship Owners Federation has informed the Australian Council of Trades Unions that it will not agree to a conference to discuss .a settlement of the strike. Morcovci, it lias decided to demand licenses. , These decisions have put ail end to efforts by the Council of Trades Unions to intervene on behalf of the striking seamen.
