Mrs H. J. Constable has .been appointed camp mother of the children’s health camp to commence at Staveley on January 4.
A “Gazette” notice states that Messrs J. Moore (Ruapuna), J. G. Armstrong (Marshland) and K. McKenzie (Geraldine) have been appointed members of the Revaluation Board l for the ’ Canterbury Land District. The appointment is for two years.
Reference to the serious illness of Mrs West-Watson, wife of the Bishop of Christchurch, was made by the Ven. Archdeacon A. J. Petrie at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Ashburton, last evening, ajid at the close of the service a special service was held, when prayers for her speedy recovery were offered.
