MIXED- DOUBLES. HOPMANS BEATEN IN FINAL. SYDNEY, November 18. The New South Wales lawn tennis championships concluded to-day, when the mixed doubles final was played. Called upon to play three matches in one afternoon, Mr and Mrs H. C. Hopman made a valiant effort, winning the quarter and semi-final, but went down in the final. Scores:—. Quarter-final —Hopman and Mrs Bopman beat Thompson and Miss Hatter sley, 6-3, 7-5. Semi-final —Hopman and Mrs Hopman. beat Lindo and Mrs Betts, 6-2, 11-9. ' Final—Turvey and Miss Hartigan beat Hopman and Mrs Hopman, 9-7, 2-6, 6-4. HIGHBANK BEATS LAURISTON. The Highbank and Lauriston senior teams met at Highbank on Saturday, the home team having an easy victory by 16 sets and 114 games to no sets 50 games.
