Police raids on three city premises this morning led to the appearance of four men in the Magistrate’s Court on gaming charges. {Dianiel Agustus Lindsay, a motor; driVer, ag‘ ’ i 48, Stanley Thon'rSon, a..cl'erk, aged 33,:and Henry Barker, 3, tObacOOnist, agar-42, were charged With, being. the beaupiers of premises in the city, they used them as common gaming houses. A. remand on bail of £SO until Wednesday was granted in the case of. Lindsay, the other two accused! pleading guilty. The magistrate said a fine of £SO in.
