[United Press Association—flopyrifiht) (Received This Day, 12.40 p.m.) LONDON, November 13. ‘ The Addis Ababa cornespondent of “The Times” says that the official spokesman, referring _to Italian claims that‘ hundreds of thousands of Abyssinians are freely joining up with Italy’s civil and military governors in the occupied territory, discounts the Italians” estimates of the extent of the surrenders“ He points" out that the chiefs were faced with submission as the alternative to prisons or firing squads. They easily profess allegiance but " will yet surprise their supposed conquerors and provide valuable internal aid for the approaching Abys—sinian ,oflfensive, when ways will ‘be found to supply the appanently submissive groups with, guns and ammu—nition. _ Mingled: disgust and amusement greet the Italian note, as it is believed that the League is ‘fully capable of dealing with the situation regarding sanctions.- ..s. i '
