McKENZIE’S NEW NICKNAME. KNOWN AS “ BLACK EYE.” (United Press Association—Copyright) (Received This 'Day, 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, November 12. The Cambridge University team to play the All Blacks on Thursday is:— Full-back: G. Parker. Three-quarters: J. Rawlence, J. McDonald, W. Wooller and K. C. Fyfe. Half-backs: O. Jones and J. Low. Forwards: C. Laborde, J. Ford, H. Dinwiddy, J. Young, B. Smith, K. Irving, W. Young and J. Hunter. Wooller, Fyfe and Jones are internationals. The All Blacks’ team is:— Full-back: Gilbert. Three-quarters: Hart, Oliver and Mitchell. Five-eighths: Caughey and Griffiths. Half-back: Sadler. Forwards: Hadley, Hore, King, Reid, Manchester, McLean and McKenzie.
McKenzie’s nickname when he went to England was “Mac”; now he is known as “Black Eye,” because he has emerged from five games with either one orjboth eyes blackened. He was not a victim of unfairness, but collided with his opponents* elbows' or knees.
