BROOKLANDS MOUNTAIN LAP RECORD. LONDON, November 6. R. 0. Shuttleworth, driving an Alfa-Romeo car, broke the mountain lap record at Brooklands. His time was 51.33 see, which was equivalent to an * average speed of 82.06 miles an hour. The record was recently raised by Raymond Mays, driving an E.R.A. car, to 81.28 miles an hour.
