SPORTS ATTRACTIONS.
FIXTURES FOR TO-MORROW* Sports fixtures in Ashburton have been postponed; for two Saturdays on account of rain, and devotees are hoping for better weather to-morrow. The Ashburton County Cricket Association’s competitions will be continued with all three senior matches drawn to be played in Ashburton. The Ashburton, Te’Marae and Baptist Tennis Clubs will open their season with functions on the several courts. The Ashburton Defence _ Rifle Club will also commence activities for the summer months. Trophy games will be played by members of the Ashburton Croquet Club.
