TOURNAMENT AT RAKAIA.

OPEN RINKS COMPETITION

Ideal weather prevailed for the Rakaia Rowling Club’s open rink tournament, which was held on the Rakaia green on Labour Day. For the Rakaia Club the president (Mr C. Garrigan), extended a, welcome to the visitors. Rinks from Christchurch, Ashburton, Dunsandel, Barfield, Timaru, and Rakaia took part. The tournament was won by Wyber, Seed, Woolf, and Ainger (s) with four wins and a draw. Second place was won by Dickenson, Tullocli, heatherston, and Minogue (s), after a play-on with Craig, C. Dobbs, H. P. Dobbs and Page (s). The trophies were presented by Mr C. Fox. Details:— First game—Welsh.
