NEW ARMY 400,000 STRONG
TROOPS BEING MOBILISED

LONDON, October 29. Travelling by .special trains and motor-buses through the country, the first German post-war conscripts are arriving at their- regimental centres in readiness for the conscription law, which will be enforced on Friday. It is believed that the full annual contingent of recruits will be nearly 450,000. The present draft of about 200,000 is increasing the army to 400,000.
