ANDRESEN AND JAGET DRAW.

NAPIER, October 21. Andresen and Jaget Singh drew in a contest on Saturday evening. Andresen gained a submission fall with a full Nelson with his legs in the fourth round. Singli took a fall three minutes before the finish, pinning Andresen after dumps. During the contest Andresen twice broke the death-lock.

OUALA BEATS HOPKINS. WELLINGTON, October 21. “Tiger” Duala defeated George Hopkins after a wrestling bout had gone 22 minutes on Saturday night, popkins was unable to continue after being bowled through the ropes.

BLOMFIELD AND JAGET DRAW.

WANGANUI, October 21.

“Lofty” Blomfield, 16.5 (New Zealand), and Jaget Singh, 16.0 (India), wrestled a draw to-night. Singh gained a fall in the third round with the famous Indian death-lock, and Blomfield. in the seventh round with a sharply-applied body press, after a series of buttings. The bout was en-

tertaining, in that both wrestlers were adepts at showmanship. At one stage the public were treated' to the spectacle of Blomfield trying to apo the Indian and conquer him with his own favourite death-lock.

Eight rounds of fast, entertaining wrestling to-night ended' with Angelo Cestoldi limp and face downward on the mat, but with the referee raising one of his hands in token of victory. Cestoldi had gained a fall over Ole Andresen in the sixth round, and in the Last he withstood' a full leg Nelson for some minutes till he was saved by the gong. .

Genet (Canterbury) on points. Light-weight—Hutchison heat Genet by one fall. Welter-weight—V. L. Thomas (Canterbury) beat V. R-awle (Auckland) on points. ~ . Middle-weight—J. McDonald (Auckland) heat H. Wilson (Otago) by one fall. Light-heavy-weight H. Bartlett, (Wanganui) beat Coughlan (Otago) on Heavy-weight—G. Harris (Taranaki) beat Coughland.
