OPIUM SEIZED
EIGHT CHINESE ARRESTED. (Per Press Association). AUCKLAND, October 21. . Eight Chinese were arrested by detectives in Nelson Street to-day. After forcing a locked door to enter, the police experienced no further difficulty, the men submitting readily to arrest. The raid followed the arrest of another Chinese in the city a little eailier in the day. The four-roomed house in which eight Chinese were found was searched by the police, who seized a quantity of opium. They also took possession of some pipes and accessories.
