AMALGAMATION SCHEME.

DARGAVILLE AND AVONDALE,

The terms of the amalgamation of the Dargaville Racing Club- with the Avondale Jockey Club were considered by- the Auckland District Committee to-night. It was decided to recommend to the New Zealand Racing Conference to give its approval. The Dargaville Club’s dates for the season are December 7 and 9. , It has not yet been decided whether these will be adhered to. The Auckland District Committee decided to remove the remainder of the six months’ disqualification imposed on O. W. Mclnally, a jockey, at Whangarei in April of this year.

LUMINAIRE WINS. SYDNEY, October 1. The Melbourne correspondent of the Sydney “Sun” reports that the New Zealand mare Luminaire won the first division of the Novice Handicap, at the Woodend country races to-day. Her stable connections are estimated to have won a. handsome sum.
