FAST BRITISH TRAIN
POSSIBILITIES OF NEW SERVICE.
(United Press Association —Copyright) > LONDON, September 29. The driver of the Silver Jubilee train, "which reached a speed of 112 miles an hour, said it would have been possible to exceed 120 miles an hour. It was not for the purpose of breaking records that the Silver Jubilee was built, and when it is in regular service its maximum speed will be slightly more than 80 miles an hour.
The speed trial took place on the one hundred and tenth anniversary of the opening of the first railway service in England, between Stockton and Darlington when a speed of eight miles an hour was achieved.—British Official Wireless.
