It is reported that Amalgamated Wireless, Limited, is negotiating for a site in the vicinity of the Mascot Aerodrome to instal, at their own expense, the first aerial radio beacon in Australia, having a range of 100 miles and able to give direction to aircraft equipped with the usual receiving apparatus or radio telephone apparatus. The Civil Aviation Department is co-operating in the selection of a suitable site.
