£SO CHALLENGE.
DOALA SEEKS AIATOH WITH
AIcCREADY.
WELLINGTON, September 24. A challenge to Earl AlcCready’s wrestling supremacy has been l issued by the Indian “Tiger” Duala, a recent arrival, w r ho wrestled his first match against George Walker in Wellington on Saturday night. Following his bout with Walker, Duala, through his interpreter, Kahan Singh, lodged with the editor of “N.Z. Sporting Life” a cheque for £SO as a challenge to McCready. Mr A Valter Miller, McCready’s manager, has frequently stated that McCready is prepared to wrestle any of the men holding licenses in New Zealand, either in a public match or in a gymnasium on a winner-take-all basis. Du a la’s offer to meet McCready in a public* match has been deferred by Mr Miller. Consequently Duala has issued his challenge stating that he is quite prepared to meet AlcCready for a bout in a gymnasium providing McCready covers the Indian’s challenge deposit. At the present time AlcCready is wrestling under the Dominion Wrestling Union and Duala under the National Sporting Club, but there is nothing to prevent them from meeting in a properly controlled gymnasium bout*
