A WORLD RANKING LIST [PERRY, THEN CRAWFORD (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) LONDON, September 23. Wallis Myers, writing in the “Daily Telegraph” gives the following ranking list:— Men. F. Perry. J. H. Crawford. G. Von Cramm. W. L. Allison. H. W. Austin. D. Budge. F. X. Shields. V. McGrath. C. Boussus. S. B. Wood. Women. Mrs Helen Wills-Moody. Miss Helen Jacobs. Miss W. E. Stammers. Frau S. Sperling. „ - Miss Fabian. Miss Dorothy Round. Miss Arnold. Mdme. Mathieu. % Miss Joan Hartigan. Miss M. C. Scriven. Mr Myers says the lists are not likely to escape criticism. They contain several surprises based upon personal observation in Europe, America and Australia. “I place Crawford, not Oramm, second, on the conclusive evidence that Crawford three times defeated Perry out of four matches on a turf course when Perry was in sound condition.” ‘
PACIFIC SOUTH-WEST TOURNEY. MISS ARNOLD' WINS TITLE. (Received This Day, 10.45 a.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, September 23. In the women’s final of the Pacific south-west tennis tournament at Los Angelos, Miss Arnold defeated Miss K. Stammers (England), 6-1, 6-4.
