Devotion to his small dbg cost Robert Capron his life. He was leading man in “So This is Hollywood,” now at the Apollo Theatre in Melbourne. To-day Capron was visiting Warrandyte, on file upper reaches of the Yana, 16 miles from Melbourne, with other ’ members of the company. The dog fell in the river, which was running fast, near where it flows through an old mining tunnel a quarter of a mile long. He jumped in after it and both were swept through the tunnel. When they emerged Capron reached the dog, hut sank, exhausted, close to the bank. His body lias not been recovered.

Capron came from America as a leading man in the successful “Merry Malones” Company some months ago.
