NO SPECIAL CONCESSIONS FOR
ITALY
LONDON, September 21. Sir Percival Phillips, Addis Ababa correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” says the Emperor has accepted the League’s proposals on condition that Italy is not given special economic concessions. “ I will make no political, economic, or territorial concessions to Italy without compensation,” ho said.
FRENCH CABINET MEETS. NO DECISION ON SANCTIONS. PARIS, Sept. 21. The French Cabinet met, A. communique states that M. Le Biun (President) congratulated and thanked M. Laval (Prime Minister) for his courageous and tenacious action in the name of France for peace.
M. Larval gave a complete resume of the foreign situation. The Cabinet did not arrive at a decision about sanctions. One Minister later said that a decision would only bo necessary when aggression was committed.
Meanwhile, Italy’s rejection of the plan is causing pessimism.
