HAWKE’S BAY WOMEN’S TITLE HASTINGS, September 20. The Hawke’s Bay women’s golf championship was won' by Miss Margaret llalgleish, who defeated Mrs Holmes in the final at the nineteenth.

DR. P. MURRAY ON LINKS Dr. P. Murray, Irish international Rugby player, who toured Australia and New Zealand with the British team in 1930, is making a name for himself at golf. Recently he reached the final of the South Ireland close championships, and with Miss R. Hanlon won the Miltown Club’s -open mixed foursomes competition, which attracts many of the best Irish players. Another old Rugby player who lias taken up golf is E. Davy, the Irish captain, and stand-off half-back, who is making rapid progress.
