PADGHAM WINS THE FINAL

LONDON, Sept.-13
A. H. Padgham defeated P. Alliss, 3-2, in the final of the ‘News of the World” £1230 golf tournament.
In the first round Alliss putted brilliantly, and led one up with 68. Tn the second round Padgham drove and played his irons magnificently.

At Portrush, H. Thompson retained the Irish amateur golf title, defeating J. McLean, 5-4.
