WELLINGTON, This Day. The Dominion basketball tournament was continued to-day. Results:— First Grade. Wellington beat Otago, 9-6. Southland beat Canterbury, 7-6. Auckland beat Hawke’s Bay, 14-11. Waikato beat Poverty Bay, 10-2. Second) Grade. Section One. Manawatu beat Wairoa, 10-8. Ashburton beat Marlborough, 21-16. Section Two. Wellington Union beat West Coast 17South Canterbury beat Nelson 18-3. Rotorua drew with Wanganui, 10-10. Taranaki heat Wairarapa, 13-12. Wellington * minor beat Wanganui, 24-8. Yesterday's Matches. Matches played yesterday afternoon resulted as follow: Wellington beat Auckland, 12-10. Taranaki beat Rotorua, 23-6. Southland Minor beat Bush, 20-11. Ashburton beat Wairoa, 13-8.
