SOMALIS SEIZE ARMS.

TO JOIN THE ABYSSINIANS.

UNDER TURKISH COMMANDER. (Received This Day, 1.5 p.m.) LONDON, August 27. The Addis Ababa correspondent cf the “Daily Express” asserts that 3000 Somalis have stolen enough arms for 9000 and have crossed the frontier to Ogaden. The Italian Consul banded a Note to the Emperor requesting return of the arms. Haili Selassie disclaimed all knowledge of the incident. The Somalis are understood to be making for Harrar with the intention of joining the Abyssinians under a Turkish commander, Wahib Pasha. Moslem feudal barons had an audience with the Emperor, demanding direct action against Italians.

ITALIAN CABINET TO MEET.

PREPARING CASE FOR LEAGUE

LONDON, August 26.

The Bolzano correspondent of the “News-Chronicde” says that Signor Mussolini has called: a special meeting of the Italian Cabinet, to be held -at Bolzano on August 28. Most of the members of the Cabinet aio already at Bolzano taking part in manoeuvres. The purpose of the meet is not known. Only administrative questions will be discussed, and not the dispute

with Abyssinia, but it would be in keeping with Signor Mussolini s sense of the dramatic to make some pronouncement about bis intentions in Abyssinia while he is surrounded by troops in the north of Italy. Meanwhile, officials of the loi eign Office at Rome are preparing the Italian case against Abyssinia for presentation to the Council of the League of Nations on September 4. Tt is understood' that Italy will argue that Abyssinia should lie expelled from the League.

TO WEAR MILITARY UNIFORM.

ITALIAN CABINET MINISTERS. (Received This Day, 1.5 p.m.) ROME, August 27. A Bolzano message states that Signor Mussolini has instructed Ministers to wear military uniform when attending the meeting of the Cabinet tomorrow.
