JAPAN REPLIES TO BRITAIN. < United Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.50 a.m.) LONDON, August 26. It is stated that the text -of the Japanese Government’s reply to the British Government’s recent memorandum on the subject of preliminary multilateral conversations in connection with the naval conference due to be held this year under the Washington Treaty was received at the Foreign Office to-day. It is understood that the French Government has already replied to the memorandum.—British Official Wireless.
