DOMINION TOURNAMENT TEAM
The Ashburton Women’s Hockey Association's team to compete at tne Dominion tournament at Gisborne at the end of this week will leave for the north this evening. Tne selector (Mr E. Davidson) selected the following players to represent the Association at the tournament. Goal: Oi. Smith (Keroene). Rack division: E. Jury (Old Girls, captain), IJ;. Fowke (Raring Square, vice-captain), A. Loacn (Timvald), M. Watson (Hinds), M. Ayers (Methven), R. Donaldson (Hinds), and N. Tatterson (Rakaia). Forward divisipn: F. Gudsell (Tinwald), F. Donaldson (Hinds), I. Lov?e (Hinds), J. Davison (Hinds), T. Morgan (Mount Somers), and J. Watson (Hinds). Mr W. C. Bishop is manager, and Mrs G. Johns (Metnven) chaperone. NORTH OTAGO v. ASHBURTON. SOUTHERN WOMEN’S TEAM. The Ashburton Women’s Hockey Association will send a team to Oamaru on September 7 to play North Otago at King George Park. The sole selector for North Otago (Mr J. H. Mushet) has chosen the following team to represent North Otago (colours, blue and white, white beret): — Goal: Miss L. Thompson (Pirata). Full-backs: Right, Miss R. Clare (Pirata); left, Miss M. Howard (Ngapara). Halves: Left, Jean Raucliffe (Windsor) ; centre, M. Wills (Duntroon); right, E. Symon (Araua). Forwards: _Left wing, D. Berry (Pirata); left inside, N. Hampton (Windsor); centre, M. Raucliffe (Windsor). right inside, 0. Hampton (Windsor) ; right wing, M. Mushet (captain). Emergencies: Backs, E. Bedford (Pirata) and N. Newlands (Ngapara); forwards, M. Perkins (Windsor) and M. Watterns (Pirata).

Following are the teams to represent the Ashburton Women’s Hockey Association against Malvern A and B teams in the Ashburton Domain on Saturday:— Against Malvern A, at 2.45 p.m. — Goal: K. Coates (Baring s Square). Backs: E. Sullivan (Methven) and E. dleeve (Methven). Halves: W. Lowe (Hinds), A. Lowe (Hinds) and J. Jary (Old Girls). Forwards: E. Musson (Hinds), B. Brand (Old Girls), M. Henderson (Timvald), M. Carson (Old Girls) and P. Brand (Old Girls). Reserves: P. Baker (Timvald) and M. Graham (Old Girls).
Against Malvern B, at 2 g.m.— Goal: L. Watson (Methven). Backs: M. Lawler "(Kereone) and I. Morris (Hinds). Halves: Mary O’Reilly (Kereone), M. Cretney (Methven) and G. Owen (Methven). Forwards: M. Rapley (Rakaia), ID. Glasson (Mount Somers), J. Cleeve (Methven), E. Anderson (Lowcliffe) and N. Bishop (Baring Square). Reserves: C. Henderson (Rakaia) and P. Ericksen (Baring Square).
