GRAIN AND PRODUCE, CHRISTCHURCH MARKETS, CHRISTCHURCH, July 30., Grain markets show slight changes in the last few days, and milling wheat for August delivery will be advanced a half penny as from Thursday. More oats are again offering, and although quotations are .unaltered, there is evidence of an inclination to ease. Not much has been offering in potatoes, but a better demand is evident for Dakotas, which are now quoted £7 10s on trucks. North Island demand has been limited, and to-day’s shipment from Christchurch and Timaru was expected to be from 4000 1 to 5000 sacks. Following are nominal prices quoted to be paid to farmers on trucks at country stations, sacks extra unless otherwise mentioned: — Milling Wheat—July delivery: Tuscan 4s 4d, Hunters 4s 6d, Pearl and Velvet 4s Bd, f.o.b. August delivery: Tuscan 4s 4£d, Hunters 4s 6|d, leail and Velvet, 4s S£d, f.o.b. Fowl Wheat—3s 9d to 3s lOd on trucks, South Island. Ex-Wheat Puichase Board, 4s Id f.o.b. for North Island only and 4s 4d for South Island. Oats —Gartens 2s 9d to 3s 3d, Algerians 2s to 2s 3d, Duns 3s to 3s od, according to quality.

PRICES OF FOWL WHEAT.

NO FURTHER REDUCTION. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The Wheat Purchase Board decided yesterday to continue the prices for fowl wheat established at the beginning of this month for sales by the board. The price, f.0.b., for shipment to the North Island thus remains at 4s Id, and the price for South Island delivery at 4s 4d a bushel. Since the board began selling at these prices on July 5, 12,000 sacks of fowl feed have been shipped to the North Island. Sales to the South Island have been considerably smaller. Merchants interested in the fowl wheat market have been a little apprehensive that a further reduction might have been, made by the board in its prices.

DIVIDEND DECLARED.

WELLINGTON, July 30

The Commercial Banking Company of Sydney has advised the Stock Exchange Association that a. dividend has been declared at the rate of 5 per cent, per annum for the six months ended June 30. The amount is payable in Sydney to-day.

Dividend at 5 per cent, was paid last year.
