DAVIS CUP CONTEST.

ENGLAND WINS ALL MATCHES. (United Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 9.5 a.m.) LONDON, July 30. In the final singles of the challenge round of the Davis Cup contest England scored two wins, as follow: H. W. Austin defeated D. Budge, 6-2, 6-4, 6-8, 7-5. F. J. Perrv defeated W. L. Allison, 4-6, 6-4, 7-5, 6-3. Austin’s accuracy and immaculate length mastered Budge, who frequently impetuously overdrove. Allison always fought bravely, and scored many aces, but eventually was unable to withstand Perry’s astonishing pace. Perry ended the match with a dazzling series of attacking strokes.

Britain’s win of five to love has not been equalled for 10 years, when America similarly beat France. It is Britain’s first five to love win since 1906 against America.
