INTER-OPERATION WITH SHIPS.
CALIFORNIA TO HAWAII LINE. (United Press Association —Copyright) SAN FRANCISCO, July 29. The announcement that an agreement has been signed between the Matson Line, the Inter-Island Steam Navigation Company of Hawaii, and Pan-American Airways for ship and ’plane into-operation is believed to bring one step nearer a trans-Pacific aeroplane passenger service. The PanAmerican construction ship has returned from building stations at Miaway, Waki and Guam Islands, and it is believed that a regular CaliformaHawtaii service will be opened in the near future.
