At conferences between the County Council and metropolitan boroughs it was decided that the county would acquire and clear the larger condemned areas, which would form satisfactory rehousing sites, and the boioughs would deal with smaller areas. At a. meeting to-morrow, the London County Council will consider seven schemes for slum clearance, involving the expenditure of nearly £1,000,000, and rehousing 6000 people.—(British Official Wireless).
