AIR FORCE TO SEARCH FURTHER.
(Per Press Association)
HASTINGS, July 30. The search for Mr Hamish Armstrong, the Akitio airman, who has been missing since July *2l, will be abandoned from to-morrow by club machines, but will be continued for at least a few days by Royal New Zealand Air Force machines, whose efforts will replace the routine training in which the pilots would otherwise be engaged. To-morrow afternoon, a memorial service to Mr Armstrong will be conducted at his parent’s homestead at Akitio, which will be attended by representative of the Hawke’s Bay and other aero- clubs.
