COMPLAINT OF ABUSE
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC LICENSES.

That a temporary traffic license conld be procured as easily as postage stamps was stated by a traffic inspector before the No. 5 Transport Licensing Authority to-day, when one applicant for a renewal of his license said he had carted several thousand sheep to Longburn last year under a special permit. The chairman (Mr P. Thompson) said: “The special permits were never meant to be used like that. It is an abuse of the law as it stands. The traffic inspector said there was general complaint at the abuse of temporally licenses.
