BULK PETROL DELIVERED ON SUNDAY.
(Per Press Association). NEW PLYMOUTH, July 29
A test case to decide the legality of delivering petrol in bulk to resellers on a Sunday, was heard in the Magistrate’s Court to-day. Mr W. IT. Woodward, S.M., reserved his decision.
It was stated it was not the practice to deliver on Sundays, but on this occasion there was an unusual run on petrol because of rumours of a rise in prices.
The magistrate saidl that in view of the importance of the judgment, he would give his decision in writing.
