THE SOUTHERN MAORI SEAT.

A conference of Maoris representing the northern half >of the South Island, with one representative from Blanks Peninsula held at Waikawa Pa last night, selected Te Whiti Love, of Wellington, for submission to the Dominion Executive of the Nationalist Party for endorsement for the Southern Maori seat. A strong executive was set up and it was unanimously agreed to support Mr Love or any other candidate endorsed' by the Central Executive. Other names before the meeting were those of Hoani MacDonald (Marlborough) and David Parkes (Motueka).
