LONDON, July 28
The Moscow correspondent of the “Manchester Guardian” says that in 1936 or 1937 the Soviet will establish an air base and scientific station at the North Pole.
Icebreakers wjill carry aeropalnes from Archangel northward, and' when they have ©one as fas as possible the journey will be completed by air. Men and stores will be dropped by parachutes to prepare a landing ground on the ice.
A survey flight will begin shortly with a view to the establishment of a Russian-American air service by the Arctic route.
