Miss K. Rymill won the State women’s golf championship, defeating Miss G. de Oespigny in the final, 6 and 4.

IRISH CHAMPIONSHIP.

(Received This Day, 12.0 p.m.) LONDON, July 26.

In the Irish golf championship replay Ernest Whitcombe, with a score of 148, defeated his brother, Reginald Whitcombe, with a score of 151, but would have been beaten by a hole if it had been match play. Reginald lost opportunities, taking seven for the first hole and six at the last in the morning round. He also missed the chance of being the third Whitcombe to hold the title, as Ernest Whitcombe won in 1928, and Charles Whitcombe in 1930.
