MORE HEAVY SHOWERS
AUCKLAND’S FALL FOR JULY.
(Per Press Association). AUCKLAND, July 26
A record that lias stood for 18 years was broken this morning, when heavy showers swelled the total rainfall for the month of July to 9.60 in. With five days yet the go, there appears to be every chance of the fall being carried past lOin. Until this year, the heaviest rainfall at Auckland for the month of July, was that of 9.59 in. registered in 1917.
Railways officials to-dav reported that services to and from the north were now almost normal, and that complete normality should ho reached by to-morrow.
