PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATES.
FORTY-FIVE MILES OF QUAYS.
LONDON, July 12
The Port of London Authority’s answer to propaganda in favour of outport trade was a tour by the Empire Parliamentary delegates which embraced 45 miles of quays, representing £40,000,000 capital.
The chairman of the Port of London Authority, Lord Ritchie, pointed out at lunch that £20,000,000 had been spent on improvements, largely for the purpose of handling Empire products at the Empire’s best market.
