GENERAL ELECTION
MATAURA CONSTITUENCY.
SUPPORT FOR GOVERNMENT,
(Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, July 25
More than 100 Reform and United Party supporters in the Mataura electorate ftiet the Hon. R. Masters in Gore to-day, and a proposal to form a branch, of the National Political federation was unanimously endorsed. Those present pledged themselves to use every endeavour to secure the return of the selected! Nationalist candidate, and to this end decided to form a branch of the National Political Federation.
Messrs E. H. Murney and T- Golden, who have been mentioned as possible candidates, were present, and voluntarily stated that they were willing to submit their names to the selection committee and abide by the decision of that body.
